Rachel Zoe Fall/Winter 2013
Only two years after making the transition from celebrity stylist to fashion designer, Rachel Zoe has found the recipe for creating a collection that women want to wear, while still staying faithful to her own aesthetic. Rachel’s Fall 2011 debut showcased clothes that looked as though they were plucked straight from her personal wardrobe. And while she has a keen eye for all things glamorous, Rachel’s personal style is not for everyone. I, however, would love to raid her closet…but that’s another story for another day.
This time around, she seems to have kept her creative focus on the everyday woman. There’s truly something for everyone: knits, blazers, vests, skirts, trousers…to just name a few. But the one aspect that makes this collection (and Rachel) so likeable is that the consumer knows they are getting something Rachel loves enough to wear herself. She’s kept her affinity for floppy hats, fur, and wide-leg pants in her collection, but in a much more tame context. She stays true to herself and her designs, and her love for her collection is evident.
