NYFW Fall/Winter 2013 – Day 1 Trends
Plaid
Timo Weiland incorporated plaid into his Fall 2013 collection. This wasn’t a trend I saw a lot of the past few seasons and as a lover of plaid, I’m looking forward to having a little more of it in my life.
“Peek-a-Boo”
Sheer garments have been popular the past few seasons and BCBGMaxAzria kept that trend alive!
Jewel Tones
One of my favorite trends in fashion are jewel tones. In the fall, it’s easy to slip into a rut of wearing dark colors. A nice deep pop of color is a fun way to spruce up a fall wardrobe. Tadashi Shoji and various other designers added jewel tones to their Fall collections.
Leg-cessories
One new trend I repeatedly saw was ankle/leg accessories. To be honest, I don’t know what to call these. Leg warmers is too 1980’s. I guess we can call them…leg sleeves? I really have no idea. Regardless, this seemed to be a very popular addition to most collections including Weiland, BCBG, and Nicholas K.
