Movie Premiere – Twilight Breaking Dawn Part I
When you put fashion and Twilight in the same blog post, you have one happy girl over here. Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiered a few days ago and most of the stars were perfect 10s (the men included, of course). Since I’m an old-fashioned kind of gal, ladies first…
I thought I would start this post off with a bang — Nikki Reed is my best dressed female for the night! Nikki wore Versace to the premier and from head to toe, I think she absolutely nailed it! The dress is simple, but elegant. The earrings and the clutch were the perfect accessories and don’t overpower the embellishment on the dress. I mean, how beautiful does she look!
Ashley GreeneAshley Greene wore Donna Karan and it’s a beautiful gown. It moved well and the weaved bodice gave a flirty structure. However, I do think this gown, paired with the hair styling, looks a little “high school prom.” If I may be so bold as to alter Donna’s design, I’d love to see the shoulder strap removed and leave the sweetheart neckline. Ditch the diamond earrings for a pair of sapphires, and pull that hair back into a messy chignon.
Elizabeth Reaser chose this pale blue, floor length, asymmetrical Carolina Herrera dress. I’m not going to lie, this look fell a little flat for me. The color is beautiful, but it washes out Elizabeth a little bit. I’m also not a huge fan of asymmetrical sleeves and straps, so naturally I would cut that sucker right off. In fact, if that piece of fabric on her right shoulder could have stayed up without the strap, it would have made the whole look a little more chic for such a big event. Liz should have been a little more va-va-voom for this final black carpet premier!
KRISTEN STEWART at The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 PremiereKristen Stewart stunned in Zuhair Murad’s champagne corset dress. Kristen makes a lot of really great fashion choices on the carpets and this sexy look suits her. If I could change one thing, I would trade out the pink lip for a deep red lip.
If I can toot my horn for one quick second, the moment I saw Dakota on the black carpet I said to myself “that’s Elie Saab.” And I was right! There’s just something about Elie Saab dresses that make them stand out. The color is gorgeous and looks great with Dakota’s new brunette hair. I wish Elizabeth Reaser had gone this route as well!
While Angela Sarafyan may not be considered one of the stars of BD Part 2, she legitimately hit this premier out of the park. When I saw her on the carpet, I was literally speechless. She wore a vintage 1950’s dress and some kick-ass sling-backs. I’m a sucker for 1940’s and 1950’s fashions and this is easily my second favorite look of the night! And is it just me, or does she remind anyone else of Drusilla from Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
